Building inclusive leadership competency
For diversity and inclusion (D&I) to be successfully integrated in an organisation, it requires leaders to role-model and promote inclusivity in their daily work. This is called ‘inclusive leadership’ – one of the three foundations of a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
Inclusive Leadership Workshop – generating critical buy-in
Leveraging the theory of unconscious bias, our 3.5-hour Inclusive Leadership Workshop equips leaders and managers with the practical skills they need to build inclusive teams, increase their inclusive leadership competency, and encourage an inclusive workplace culture.
The workshop covers a range of inclusive leadership behaviours, from inclusive conversations to inclusive meetings. Participants reflect on their day-to-day behaviour and ultimately create a personal action plan to guide future behaviour. They are also provided with a workbook to embed and retain their learnings.
In addition, workshop participants receive follow-up group coaching to discuss any challenges, roadblocks, or successes they may have experienced when putting their new knowledge into practice. This approach not only strengthens knowledge and solidifies participant learning, but provides an opportunity for employees to hear and learn from each other.
A sustainable approach to inclusive leadership capability
Diversity Inclusion also offers an inclusive leadership Train the Trainer program. This is where we educate select employees on how to present the inclusive leadership workshop, enabling organisations to roll-out the training on an ongoing basis, at their discretion.
